Latin American Art Festival

This event will present a pop-up exhibition of Latin American textile art accompanied by a poetry reading by Pablo Lopez, discussions with artists Juana Ruiz and Erika Silva from the Tejedoras de Mampuján and Memorarte and Latin American food and drink. Come along for an evening of Latin American art and food and listen to artists discuss the role of textile art in their social activism.

Organised by Naomi Polonsky and Lorna Dillon the curators of What Lies Beneath: Women, Politics, Textiles, in collaboration with Art Fund curatorial assistants Laura Moseley, Koni Borowiak, Francesca Vella Bonnici and Annie Roberts. Supported by a University of Cambridge Public Engagement Starter Grant, the Leverhulme Trust, the Art Fund and the British Academy.
