Creative Connections: Portraits of Women Scientists and Artists

September 9, 2019 - February 29, 2020

Anne-Katrin Purkiss has taken photographs of people for over thirty years, portraying individuals from many disciplines and professional backgrounds. This exhibition brings together a selection of her portraits of scientists and artists to highlight the breadth of women’s achievements in both fields. All the artists in the exhibition have work in the Women’s Art Collection that can be viewed across the college. The aim is to highlight the inter-connectedness between the arts and sciences and the creativity that drives both practices.
