Vicki Olverson

Vicki Olverson is a sculptor and painter.  Born in Wallasey, Merseyside, she studied Ceramic Sculpture at Cardiff College of Art, leaving with a B.A.Hons in 1978.

A few years later Vicki moved to Southern Ireland. Here she exhibited in numerous exhibitions and Arts festivals across the country but mainly yearly group exhibitions in Dublin including the ‘Figurative Image Group’, ‘Independent Artists Group’ and ‘Guinness Peat Aviation Awards’. She was lucky enough to be awarded an Arts Council Bursary for a studio and before leaving had a One Man Show at the Taylor Galleries in Dublin.

Whilst visiting England Vicki met her husband and after a three month journey through Kenya, subsequently moved to Cambridge.
While travelling, the Berkeley Square Gallery in London expressed interest in her work, and she showed in a number of group exhibitions and the International Art Fair at Olympia. In the following years she had a One Woman Show at Gallery Duncan Terrace in Islington and exhibited at the Royal Academy Summer Show.

Vicki is inspired by movement and rhythms of dance and the sea/coast, – memories and emotions are expressed through colour and line.
