Jeanette Orrell

Jeanette Orrell was born in Leigh, Lancashire in 1964. She studied ceramics and graduated from Camberwell School of Art in 1985. After graduation she travelled between London, Japan, and Greece, eventually returning to the North West of England to undertake a couple of artist residencies and had a family. Jeanette Orrell has exhibited both 2d and 3d work extensively. She is currently based in North Wales. Much of her work explores “ideas”, such as domesticity, femininity, or gender roles. This drawing comes from a series of drawings from the interior of her home looking out at the landscape.
