Carol Bernstein
Carol Bernstein writes: “My approach to painting has grown increasingly towards abstraction, but the virtual stimulus or starting-point for my work remains rooted in things seen in the world around me. The images are not to do with actuality and they are certainly not direct representations, but memories and recollections of the signs and symbols that are the currency of information. My working methods are at present to use opaque and transparent films of oil paint which are used to veil or contrast stencilled areas.”
Carol Bernstein held an exhibition of her work in New Hall in 1999.
